David Goes to School Classroom Door
For the month of December classroom teachers and students decorated their door with their favorite read aloud based around building community, building character, and friendship.
Of course my class voted for David Goes to School! I made the ENORMOUS (almost life-size and that wasn't the plan) David and students had to "pretend" to break a school rule for a picture. Oh my!! They definitely enjoyed that part of the project.
On a sentence strip they wrote their sentence and they were added to the door. Here's the door and some examples of what they wrote.

How To Decorate a Tree
We completed some "How To" writing this week. Students wrote how to decorate a tree and used sequencing words.
Here's their work and JUST so you know this is a FREEBIE along with some other writing activities at my TpT Store (Holiday FREEBIES).
