Newsletter for the Week of Dec. 19th

We can make it!!  Four more days until our holiday break.

A Long Overdue Post

Believe me, we've been very busy and working hard so let me catch you up on what we've been up to.

Students listened to many versions of the gingerbread man and created their own last week.  They were introduced to a story planner and each day they added details to their piece.

Each year our principal puts together a music video for our December assembly.  This year we danced to Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling.  We made Emoji hats and danced our little hearts out. I'll share the link once it's competed!

Here's Nevaeh with the sun I was holding.  She wanted to take it home but before she did I needed a pic!

For the month of December classroom doors are decorated with a favorite book or theme.  This year we went with Scaredy Squirrel.  Kids made emergency kits and included what they'd need in order to survive first grade.  We added some Christmas lights to be festive.

We've also been learning about Holidays Around the World.  Ask your child what some of his/her favorite traditions have been so far!
