A Trip to the Apple Orchard

Sit back and enjoy!  It was a beautiful day with the sun shining and a much cooler temperature.  Plus, it doesn't hurt when your class is on their BEST behavior!

And then this happened!!  Nathan photobombed the photo.  He couldn't stop laughing when I showed him the picture.  

A BIG thank you to Treworgys for having us today and the family members who came along!   We had a blast.

Take Home Journals are now coming home each Friday!  Please take the time to read your child's letter and write a little message at the bottom.

Each Friday, I read the messages as they're writing a letter to you!

Here's an example of one last week.  This illustration is us practicing our fire drill.  Look at our perfect line-straight, silent, and hands by our sides.  I look pretty good too at the front of the line!!

Kevin Henkes' Activities

We have read a lot of Kevin Henkes' books so we completed some center activities based on 3 of the books we read.

For Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse students had to draw two items they'd want in their purse.  Once drawn, they cut and glued.

For Little White Rabbit students made their very own rabbit!

And for the book Chrysanthemum students made name jars.

We displayed our work in our community so others could take a peek!

It was quite a BUSY, but exciting morning and I kept hearing how FUN school was.  Shouldn't it always be?
