What Type of Pet Would you Want?

If you could have ANY pet what would you want?   I thought I'd get some wild answer but they were pretty tame and common.

After reading, I Wanna Iguana, we brainstormed a list.

Students had "Quiet 10" where they began their illustrations.  As they worked, I worked.  I then modeled and stretched my words.  Of course I chose a lion because it could protect me!  Finally, students wrote their piece.
